The fertilisation process increases crop yield by providing essential elements that plants and trees need to grow. Furthermore, these products improve plant resilience and resistance to pathogens that can cause diseases. Products that nourish and protect plants can be grouped into two broad categories: conventional or inorganic fertilisers and organic fertilisers.

We are committed to providing sustainable, quality fertiliser solutions in order to improve the health of our crops and the biodiversity of our ecosystems.

Inorganic and organic fertilisers

People have been using fertiliser for many centuries. Thanks to fertiliser, crops have been able to increase their yield and quality throughout history. They are beneficial for agricultural uses as well as for gardening or soil rehabilitation.

Fertilisers are very useful for correcting specific deficiencies in certain types of soils, such as lack of nitrogen, phosphorus or potassium, among others. However, before using them, it is important to know what nutrients and components the soil we want to fertilise needs and to determine what type of fertiliser is most appropriate.

But, specifically, what is organic fertiliser?

Organic fertiliser is made with decomposed organic matter, including compost. Moreover, because it is considered organic, its production process must comply with the regulations for this type of fertiliser.

Another characteristic is that it can be stored and transported without risk and applied directly on the ground, i.e. it is simply applied to the soil to be fertilised. Of all the different types of fertilisers, organic fertiliser is our first choice.

In short, although there are many varieties of fertilisers that are suitable for all types of crops and vegetables in general, organic fertilisers are increasingly becoming the preferred choice due to their qualities.
